Good Riddance and good Morning

It’s a fucking miracle we’re alive. And that we survived, when too many did not. And that our institutions just barely made it through, when tested to the brink. And that President Joe Biden and VP (Queen) Kamala Harris will be sworn in, when we so desperately need real, wise, proactive, empathetic leadership. And yes, I woke up at 4:50am PST on 1/20/21 today to watch him leave once and for all— and to see day follow night. Good riddance and good morning.

I just took my first deep breath in far too long — with wholly unexpected, all-consuming chills across my entire body and tears rolling down my cheeks in this very moment. Oh how I pray for our new President, VP, all Americans, our nation and world.
