Chef-Driven Emergency Response

‪Chef-driven emergency response is an idea we piloted here in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria… and it’s now serving Guatemaltecos in this time of critical need. The wild vision of Chef José Andrés together with the incredible heart and unwavering commitment of our #ChefsForPuertoRico team has led us to feed over 3.6 million scratch-cooked meals from a network of 26 kitchens to the most vulnerable populations here across this island. Our World Central Kitchen family is now serving from multiple kitchens on the ground in Guatemala in the wake of the devastating volcano activity. We are deeply proud of and hugely inspired by the leadership, proactivity and impact of our brothers and sisters with #ChefsForGuatemala, including our very own beloved Alejandro Perez. Bendiciones.
